Christmas Transformations

(38)
Here is another set of transformation pictures that will create a lovely Christmas scene. There is a reindeer and Christmas tree which only require multiple translations to create, the other snow man and reindeer involve a mixture of rotations, reflections and translations.

All the worksheets are as pictures to help preserve the positions of each piece that needs to be transformed. These have been double checked for mistakes but if any are found do let me know!

Hope these prove to be useful and an enjoyable task to end the long autumn term on!

Pointless Christmas

(89)
Based on the TV show Pointless, this is a quiz I've made to while away the last few hours of this term with my classes. Couple of rounds on maths topics, otherwise it&'s largely Christmas themed or just general knowledge. You may need to change the Ringwood round though! Also included is the answers which are handy to have alongside the game in case you&';re not sure if they're correct or not. It&'s also worth having a play with before using so you&';re used to how to operate it.

Christmas Activities

(19)

A couple of lovely Christmas activities for literacy and numeracy that I have adapted and developed over the years. I have aimed them at my year 4 class but they can be edited for use in any KS2 class. Some are my own, some I have found and adapted for my class. My husband would like recognition for helping me to write the ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ comprehension questions.

If you find this resource useful, please let me know.

Enjoy! Count the Christmas Baubles

(10)
Use the smartboard resource to count presented sets of up to ten baubles, children select the correct number and are rewarded by a Christmas animation and sound effect. The word document with the large baubles, I make in to an interactive display, enlarge the tree to A3, laminate, cut out and laminate the baubles and attach with velcro, children can then dress the tree with their choosen amount of baubles. The other word document I use as a cut and stick activity for children which becomes a useful count assessment at the end of term.
