This spreadsheet allows you to keep track of all your students scores from their practice SATs across the year. The spreadsheet is fully adaptable - allowing you to change the pass levels for each test; adding in your school's assessment levels and adding your students' names and class information.
Once you have inputted the students' data, you can then analyse their performance in a number of ways, including: identifying how far they are from achieving a pass mark and looking at how far they have progressed from their last test. Finally, their is also an option to look at how the whole cohort has done, with an overview section. This section looks at the percentages and number of students that are performing at the different levels e.g. just below or are already on track at ARE.
Looking for an in-tray task to support the recruitment process for an assistant or deputy headteacher? This data analysis task requires the candidate to analyse and interpret the data to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement. They would need to demonstrate their ability to extract meaningful insights from the data, make evidence-based recommendations and propose strategies for enhancing pupil achievement and wellbeing. Additionally, the candidate would be expected to showcase their proficiency in using data analysis tools and present their findings in a clear and concise manner, highlighting their strong analytical skills and their capacity to inform decision-making in an educational setting.
This resource is useful for those recruiting for an assistant headteacher or deputy headteacher position, as well as those applying as a candidate for the role to help prepare for the interview. We’ve also included a worked example of some survey data that could be used as part of the process.
Looking for more interview tasks, take a look at our other options or interview task bundle.

Data and Information flow diagrams proves still a difficult topic for the students. This high quality resource, which comes as a full lesson, with exercises to facilitate the theory, and of course based on past exam questions, tackles the topic by introducing and explaining the differences between data and information flow diagrams. The students complete the exercises based on examples, which are fully explained in the lesson with the use of appropriate boxes and shapes. The resource has proven effective especially with my weaker students, who initially found it difficult to understand the topic.
Pearson endorsed and produced on the basis of theory and exam questions.

An interactive and engaging lesson designed to cover the Yr1 objective for Data and Information. Designed by teachers, we understand that it is not always possible to squeeze in 6 lessons per unit and have therefore created a lesson to support teachers in covering curriculum aims through activities that span 1-2 lessons, but with additional activities, so can also be extended to further sessions if the teacher wishes.
