Useful word banks to help children to create and describe a monster, a dragon or even an animal. These word banks contain nouns, their synonyms, and adjectives for the following body parts: • skin coverings: fur/hair, scales, feathers, skin, spines, quills • head: horns, antlers, crest, wattle • limbs: legs, wings, flippers, tentacles, claws, talons, hooves, pincers • mouths: jaws/snout, beak, teeth, tusks, fangs, tongue • other parts: tail, mane, dorsal crest, shell, fin, pouch Each body part comes with a list of appropriate adjectives and a photograph for illustration. Lesson on body parts

A 40 page file of games that introduce young learners to the spelling and position of 24 external parts of the body eg head, arms . . There are 13 different games, each of which has at least two versions so pupils interact.

Objective: Learning parts of the body, asking questions, speaking practice. Step 1: The outline of a human body is labelled on a worksheet. (Words given underneath). Step 2: With a partner, pupils design a monster: They ask for number, size and colour of the body part, and the partner determines it by throwing a dice.
