<p>Useful word banks to help children to create and describe a monster, a dragon or even an animal.</p>
<p>These word banks contain nouns, their synonyms, and adjectives for the following body parts:<br />
• skin coverings: fur/hair, scales, feathers, skin, spines, quills<br />
• head: horns, antlers, crest, wattle<br />
• limbs: legs, wings, flippers, tentacles, claws, talons, hooves, pincers<br />
• mouths: jaws/snout, beak, teeth, tusks, fangs, tongue<br />
• other parts: tail, mane, dorsal crest, shell, fin, pouch</p>
<p>Each body part comes with a list of appropriate adjectives and a photograph for illustration. This resource is particularly helpful for SEN and EAL pupils, but can be used by the whole class to widen pupils’ vocabulary usage.</p>
<p>A second version includes synonyms for nouns, as well as appropriate adjectives, suitable for all pupils.</p>
