Celebrate the 2024 European Championship competition this summer with your secondary students with this 45 question EURO quiz for 2024, themed around the event complete with answers. This resource is a 45 question quiz spread across 4 different rounds. It is created on Microsoft Powerpoint and suitable for KS3 and KS4 secondary students.

Whats included?
Within this resource there are 45 questions spanning 4 rounds.

This is a revision resource used for tutor time on long questions. One topic per week. Students firstly read the question and understand the command word, they use the video links (which can be changed to suit) to write Cornell notes on the topic. Then use these to answer the question. Finally they self assess to get to know the how the marking scheme works. This spans over 3 tutor time sessions per week. Its differentiated to include keywords, making criteria, extension question and hint questions to allow students to succeed.
It helps to expose students to many long questions and target students who need support with extended answers.

Example of how it works included in the first section of the power point before starting on week 1.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about positive language. It covers the important topic of being positive, watching what language we use to communicate to others and using positive language online. It was used as an assembly for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12).

Important quotes and two downloaded videos that will never disappear

How we can show positive language

What situations we need to show positive language

How we can support cyberbullying

Code of conduct

Reflection slide with thinking questions and positive quotes

There is a slide for you to add your Pupil Code of Conduct or behaviour policy or you can delete this slide if you prefer.

The session is all narrated but this can easily be changed by deleting the icon on each slide.

This is a tutor time activity we have used across all year groups. Students discussed the questions (choosing slides appropriate to the year group) and created a large collection of tiny torn pieces of red/blue paper.

You can then arrange these into the shape of the union flag to display as a representation of your school's attitude to British values.
As a head of year, I get my tutors to do 'Thunks Thursday&' - get the students thinking about issues outside the box and thinking of the bigger picture. ~Instructions included for fun creative thinking!
I have planned this to be used by our school for our vertical year 7/8 tutor groups.
It is aiming to get pupils talking to each other, building their confidence and getting to know each other.
There is a getting to know you kinaesthetic activity to start.
Room 101 as the main activity including links to video clips as examples.
