Set of printable cards. Each has a scale such as D major, A minor pentatonic, Blues in G etc on them. Also on them is a variety of ways to play them such as staccato, legato, dotted etc. The idea is that students pick cards at random and roll a dice (IRL or virtually) to discover the way they need to practice the scale.
A fun way to warm up or learn about a variety of musical scales.

This is a fantastic resource I made for improving spelling during morning activities. There are 20 different 9 letter words which are placed in a wheel. One of the letters is put in the middle, which has to be used in every word. Pupils then try to make 3 letter or more words.

I score it by allowing the pupils 5 minutes to find words. They get 9 points for the 9 letter word and 8 points for 8 letter words etc. Pupils read their word out and if no one else has got it they get the points. Everyone who gets the 9 letter word gets 9 points, even if someone else gets it too. Each slide has a clue what the 9 letter word is. The next slide always reveals what the 9 letter word is.

This is a simple, easy-to-learn song that can be used with all your primary music classes! Singing games are a great way to start the lesson, or to use as a break part way through a choir practice or general music class.

What’s included?
Sheet music (8 bar melody)
Instructions for classroom implementation

Tell me more!
I wrote this as a way of getting my students singing, moving and interacting at the start of every lesson! I use it with all my younger classes. Everyone picks up the melody quickly and looks forward to the “change places” chorus on each repeat!

Pitch/melody warm-up: the song uses a natural minor key, ideal for young singers. The range is an octave and the melody moves by step and small leaps of a 3rd.
Rhythm warm up: finger clicks help practise keeping time. The melody uses mostly quarter notes, emphasising keeping a steady beat.
Movement warm-up: the game involves swapping places each chorus.
Social warm-up: your students will all be involved, looking around the circle, and feeling the benefits of singing together.

I hope you and your students love playing and singing together using this song! If you enjoy it, please leave a review to help others find it. Follow my store for more fun music resources for your music classroom.
