I created this resource after realising that Read, Write, Inc doesn't cover all of the sounds needed for the phonics screening check.<br /> Included in the pack are:<br /> - A4 picture cards with a rhyme and words for Fred Talk (and a suggested set to teach it with)<br /> - A4 sound cards to print onto the back of the picture cards.<br /> - Smaller versions of the above to add to your recap pack.<br /> - 4 green words for each sound.<br /> - 2 alien words for each sound.<br /> <br /> Missing sounds included are: ff, ll, ss, zz, ie, ue, wh, ph, oe, au, ey, e-e, y, ck<br /> They are all in a Comic Sans font, but are word documents so you can change this if you want to.<br /> <br /> I hope it saves you the hours and hours that it took me to make them!<br /> <br /> Please leave a review to enable others to know more about the resource. <p>Included in this pack is all you need to assess a child in their phonetic ability.<br /> Page 1: An overview sheet for the teacher to highlight with sounds, words and alien words correctly read by the pupil. There is also space to note down any common mis pronunciations.<br /> Page 2-10: A larger, child-friendly copy of the sounds, words and alien words from the test for the children to read.</p> <p>This assessment follows the letters and sounds framework and includes ALL sounds covered in the Year 1 phonics screening check (unlike the Read, Write, Inc assessment which has missing sounds - see also my document for teaching the missing sounds).</p>

<p>Here are the documents that I used to run a friendship club intervention for children at my school. It would work with any ages and can all be edited. This club was ran during a lunchtime and led by the school council/leadership team.</p>

<p>First Aid course lesson plans over a week linked to the Red Cross pack.</p>

<p>A pack of 8 A4 sheets in landscape (fully editable) displaying common errors that we make in our language and correcting them to more of a growth mindset. I had this display up in my classroom and both myself and the children would constantly refer to it and use it during the day. It really changed the way that they approached challenges.</p>
