I have moved from AQA DT Textiles to Art Textiles ( OCR) I produced this guide for students ( and myself as I found the course very open compared to the DT version I am used to!) they work through it and tick off elements as they go in each section. It is divided into the 4 sections of the exam board ( Research, development, practical, evaluation) and each page can also be used as objectives on the board for the teacher, which links well to the booklet. <br /> I also have a project 2 portfolio ( very similar you may not need both) but includes topics from previous examination papers and two booklets for year 9 to access which is a watered down/ easier to access version of this booklet. <p>Street food module project based learning for KS3 into KS4 food students. This follows the hospitality and catering course and includes most of the key elements that will be in the unit 1 exam</p> <p>Students really enjoy working towards a street food market at school and going out to the supermarket or food markets to purchase their ingredients.</p>

<p>This project has been really successful at GCSE and students gain incredibly high grades from this project, its been a very long time in the making to refine it.<br /> You will need to learn how to create a subtraction pattern cut dress to create the final pieces with students ( Instructions on You Tube)<br /> This is the final project from the set of DISTORTION-FRAGMENTS-KINTSUGI</p> <p>I have also added the KIBOSO project that we did to follow Kintsugi when there was no examination incase its useful to follow to start with</p>

The second project I do with year 9 ( please also have a look at the other) they are very similar in design so you may only want one and adapt it! <br /> They include pages students can tick off as they go and link into the four sections of the examination. They include levels and objectives. <br /> Usually I would print one out per student and have the section we are working on as my objectives on the board. <br /> I also have a larger version for GCSE that follows a similar format to prepare students to move from KS3 to KS4.

<p>Prefect 8-10 week project to add more diversity of artists to your curriculm. We make protest posters for the final outcome for this project</p>

Can be split into individual sections or given to students in booklet form. On PPT so easy to display on the board. <br /> Works with any of the booklets in my other resources for Art Textiles and allows the teacher in a very easy to understand way to mark and feedback to students. <br /> We use stamps to reward and rewards are included for each section but this is easily adapted to fit your school policy's with rewards.

Very similar to the GCSE guide so you may not want to spend on both! this one however bridges the link between the exam students will do and the previous booklet where they had more freedom of topic. I have taken the topics for this project from previous exam papers. It follows the same format with the guide able to be printed out for students as a booklet to tick off tasks as they go, each section is clear on marks, grades 1-9 and objectives. The pages also double up as a good objective page to have on the board to match students work and has good uniformity with the work and tasks students are working on with exemplars available. <br /> Please also have a look at the year 9 booklet as it is a watered down version of the GCSE one to ease students from KS3 to KS4, there are two but you may only need one as follow a similar format and are easily adapted to suit your needs/ students

( very handy to have printed and stuck to each machine!) <br /> Some do now tasks that can be completed at the start of lessons as students arrive <br /> Objectives for the practical lessons that can easily be adapted to suit all lessons, I just cant upload all objectives to match each page of work as the file is too big! for the teacher to display on the board.<br /> A guide sheet for students when they are ready to take their sewing machine driving test.

18 activities to be used with KS3 when students are ahead in the project or need additional stretch and challenge. All activities are differentiated so all students can access. <br /> Can be used as a take away homework over the term also and students gain a prize if they complete all activities on the bingo grid. <br /> I have found this really helpful with engaging boys and its really easy to adapt the ideas to suit your students.
