<p>3 weeks worth of whole-class reading planning based on ‘The Green Ship’ by Quentin Blake. Planned for a year 3 class. Resources include plan and a PDF of the book. Each lesson is designed to be around 30 minutes long. Range of activities included such as character descriptions, role play and comparing and contrasting settings as well as a range of reading skills including prediction, inference and visualisation.</p>

<p>Rainforests Art and DT planning and resources for each lesson. This is suitable for years 3 or 4 although could be adapted for lower/higher year groups. This unit of work is based on the children producing a Rainforest diorama which includes using sewing techniques to create a rainforest creature.</p>

<p>Ancient Egypt Art planning and resources for each lesson. This is suitable for years 3 or 4 although could be adapted for lower/higher year groups. The lessons are based on self-portraits in the style of the Ancient Egyptians. The unit begins with children exploring Ancient Egyptian portraits and comparing to modern day, then practising Ancient Egyptian self-portraits before creating a final piece and then adding colour/decoration.</p>

<p>Rivers Topic planning and resources. This planning is suitable for years 3 and 4 although can be adapted for the whole of KS2. The planning includes labelling UK rivers on a map, finding out more about the world’s most famous rivers, identifying the features of a river and looking at the uses of a river. The unit ends with a local fieldwork study of your nearest river.</p>

<p>Design and Technology planning and resources for designing, creating and evaluating a photo frame. This is suitable for years 3 or 4 although could be adapted for lower/higher year groups. The planning includes exploring and deconstructing various photo frames, the children designing their own photo frame to follow a design brief/purpose, creating the photo frame and then evaluating. Also included in the resources is a booklet for children to record their project.</p>

<p>A series of lessons beginning with letter formation and leading into joined, cursive handwriting. This notebook can be used with any age group, I have used it with KS2 classes.</p>

<p>Ancient Egypt Topic planning and resources for each lesson. This is suitable for years 3 or 4 although could be adapted for lower/higher year groups. The planning includes labelling Ancient Egypt on a map, using photographs and artefacts to find out more about the Ancient Egyptians, sorting information under headings, investigating the River Nile, learning about the mummification process through mummifying a tomato (the children LOVE this one!), learning about Egyptian Gods and Goddesses and looking at Hieroglyphics.</p>

<p>Natural Disasters Topic planning and resources for each lesson. This is suitable for years 3 or 4 although could be adapted for lower/higher year groups. The planning includes learning about a range of natural disasters, creating instructions for how to stay safe in the event of a Tsunami and labelling the parts of a volcano. An engaging topic which my classes have always enjoyed!</p>

<p>This plan is based on the PE unit, Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA). The planning is suitable for all KS2, I have taught this with a year 3 class. The lessons are based on solving various problems as a team, including when we lose one of our sense and orienteering.</p>

The planning includes links to both human and physical features of the rainforest, such as identifying rainforests around the world, layers of a rainforest and the Yanomami tribe who live in the Amazon rainforest.</p>

The planning includes sketching sections of the Taj Mahal, exploring Indian block printing and exploring Indian patterns such as Rangoli and Mehndi. The unit of work finishes with children creating a final piece of art work.</p>

<p>A scheme of 7 lessons for the History topic, ‘Victorians’. This has been planned for a Year 3/4 class however can be adapted to suit other year groups. Lessons include learning about Victorian homes, inventions, crime and punishment, working children and schools/education. Planning, resources, teaching slides and video clip links are all provided. The planning also includes an outline for a Victorians day at the end of the topic.</p>

<p>British Values Tolerance and Diversity complete lesson pack. Includes lesson plan, IWB resource and a worksheet.</p> <p>This lesson encourages children to think of difference and diversity in their own class and how they can show respect and tolerance towards each other.</p> <p>Could be used with any Key Stage 2 age group.</p>
