<p>This is a 6 week unit of work based on The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. The unit has writing focus with outcomes such as, information reports, poetry, character descriptions and balanced argument.</p> <p>There are four planned lessons each week allowing one lesson for a guided reading or catch up session. Each lesson includes; learning objective, a starter activity, teaching input, independent activity and a plenary.</p> <p>The unit is aimed at Year 5 but can be easily adapted to suit Year 4 or Year 6.</p>
