They only progress to the next sheet should they get 100% correct the week before.</p> <p>Any mistakes and they stay where they are.</p>

<p>These sheets of paper are perfect for getting your Year 1 children to master their maths curriculum.</p> <p>Children start on 11 club and can only progress if they manage to get 100% ofd the answers correct in the 5 minutes allowed.</p> <p>Within this resource you get</p> <p>11 club<br /> 22 club<br /> 33club<br /> 44 club<br /> 55 club<br /> 66 club<br /> 77 club<br /> 88 club and<br /> 99 club</p> <p>This is designed to be completed on a weekly basis and allows the children to practice everything within their maths curriculum.</p> <p>It also allows them to learn how to flip quickly between addition, subtraction, halves, missing box questions, fractions, less than and more than.</p> <p>To complete the test, give the children 5 minutes. They may use manipulatives to aid learning. Once the 5 minutes has passed, teachers and learning simply spot for a mistake, they do not mark every answer. If there is one mistake children do not move on to the next ‘club’.</p> <p>The objective of the test is accuracy and not speed.</p>

<p>In order to prepare my Year 2 class for the KS1 Arithmetic Test. I made these practice questions using the skills they must know in order to pass the paper.<br /> I put them on the IWB (1 per day) as a registration activity as a daily arithmetic and really found that it helped the children to master the methods very quickly, especially after going through the answers.</p> <p>I have enough for 6 Arithmetic lessons.</p> <p>Adding two 2-digit numbers together<br /> Subtracting two 2-digit numbers<br /> 2x table, 5x table, 10 table<br /> Other multiplications using a method such as array.<br /> Missing box questions<br /> Halves, quarters, thirds and fifths of a number.</p>

I have made a resource where the children must start at a number and complete 8 steps before reaching a answer. this can be used as part of a game, where the solution are a password to unlock a prize or something.<br /> <br /> <br /> The resource is differentiated with 3 easy questions (green), 3 medium questions (yellow) and 3 hard questions (red).<br /> <br /> The resource idea was taken from the mathematical puzzle that you might find in newspapers.<br /> <br /> I have used this resource with Year 2 students where they were adding on a empty number line but it can be used with year 3 or even low group year 4. It can also be used for adding mentally.
