Year 8 will look at the Blue Mind and its impact on how we see ocean conservation as more than just about the animals but as something that can help our own mental wellbeing. Aimed at higher ability year 8 students, this unit of work is designed for a 9-week study and focuses on reading and transactional writing skills. The SoW outlines weekly intent, content to cover, aspire higher suggestions for stretching students, SMSC question ideas, hints on prior learning from previous lessons and home learning suggestions.
