Each poster has three suggested sensible talking points or common questions to help begin these conversations.</p> <p>To be truly effective, students and young people should be encouraged to enter these conversations regularly and with an open mind. There is also scope to incorporate the prompts into lessons, depending on the subject being taught.</p>

<p>A resource that introduces young people to a broad range of inclusive terms from the LGBT+ community and promotes discussion around the representation of LGBT+ people in the media.</p> <p>As part of this activity, we encourage young people to work around their own school/ education setting and reflect on any examples of LGBT+ representation they can find. This should be an honest exercise and works best when the school/ education setting is open to improving the level of positive representation it has.</p> <p>We have also provided links that can be shared with students who may wish to be signposted towards additional information or services based on the content of this session.</p>

<p>Mindtalk is a programme of resources designed to be used during form time, or as part of PSHE. The purpose is to begin conversations with students about topics that often we feel uncomfortable talking about. In having these conversations, we can break the stigma that surrounds mental health and signpost young people to places where they can access support.
