Do you have art students that have a difficult time seeing all the color possibilities they could utilize when creating an artwork of a specific subject? These exercises should really help students explore color and the possibilities. You can pair these exercises with a unit on color theory. This packet includes: -Teacher Information Sheet -Student Color Observation Sheet: Sky -Student Color Observation Sheet: Outdoor Plant -Student Color Observation Sheet: Stone, Cement, or Brick Walkway -Student Color Observation Sheet: Patch of Grass These sheets are based off of outdoor observations. So, they are a great opportunity for students to work in the outdoors or view a particular subject from a window. Suggested Supplies: Students could use soft pastels (mixing colors as needed) or paint (mixing colors as needed). I hope you find these exercises to be very helpful for you students!

This resource includes information and practice for ‘contour line drawing’. It covers general contour line drawing (doesn’t go into specifics for blind contour or continuous line etc. - keeps it general). I would use this from about year 4/5 or 4th grade all the way through to adult. This art packet includes 10 total pages. You’ll find: 1 definition sheet, 5 practice subject drawing sheets (two subjects on each page - 10 subjects total), 2 contour line free drawing sheets (one for hand and one for foot drawing) I hope you and your students enjoy this resource!
