<p>This is a fun and engaging lesson which teaches and explores the features of dystopian literature in the opening of 1984, considering the idea of totalitarianism and character’s viewpoint.</p> <p>There is a also a fun resource for letter writing where students will need to consider narrative viewpoint and the contextual reasons why certain information may or may not be revealed. This links to wider skills in KS3 and makes students really consider the intended and actual reader and the choices they are making as an author.</p>

This creative resource teaches students poetry conventions whilst crafting a creative response with an amusing viewpoint to famous pieces of art and poetry.</p> <p>This fun lesson prepares students for KS4, particularly the Section B creative elements of their GCSEs. It also encourages students to consider wider concepts whilst writing, for example social perceptions, feminist theory and societal stereotypes.</p>

This lesson focuses on complex gothic terminology (the liminal, the doppleganger, etc) and how these features can be identified in art, ghost stories and literature such as The Woman in Black.</p> <p>This is a fun, relatable lesson that students are sure to remember.</p>

<p>These are two detailed lessons on William Blake’s* London*. A very well differentiated lesson with a thorough analysis of the poem focusing on language and structural choices, tone, and theme.
