This is a simple resource which consists of a model answer for the question 'Compare the way writers explore the ending of a relationship'. The poems are taken from the AQA Love and Relationships cluster- 'When We Two Parted' by Lord Byron and 'Neutral Tones' by Thomas Hardy. I have used this with a top set year 9 and a low set year 10 to introduce them to the comparison question. The activity is aimed towards answering an exam style question. There are three worksheets and two sources which guide students through the process of writing a complete exam style answer. There is also a self assessment worksheet which is a student friendly version of the mark scheme for the question which students can use to assess their answers.

This resource has been designed for the preliminary material questions released by AQA for GCSE Citizenship 4105 for the May 2017 exams. It consists of three resources. Firstly, there is a guide for students showing them how to answer section B of the paper and how to research the questions. Next, there is a mind map, which illustrates how to note down research. Finally, there is a practice paper for section B of unit 1 and unit 3.

This is a powerpoint based interactive lesson that explores the meaning of Christmas and how this meaning has changed over time.
