In preparation for the new term in September, i have made 30 coat peg labels, 15 little miss and 15 Mr. men. The names of the characters are written on the labels and there is also room to write or type Child's name.

Sorry, its been in the making for so long. Have just finished all the jolly phonics sets 1-7 with BSL sign language. These cards give opportunities for children to become aware of languages and writing systems other than English, and communication systems such as signing.

I made these PPP stories to use with my class, to reinforce the understanding of the stories. Some information has have been taken from this website to produce these PPP.

These Superhero books have been designed for boys (made one for girls- fairy tales). The purposes of these books are to raise boys' interest in reading. Therefore I have used images which they are familiar with and enjoy looking at and talking about. I have kept the wording simple and used very repetitive phrases.

I have based this homework pack on a Phase 2 phonic homework pack which I downloaded from here. I was very impressed by the phase 2 phonic pack therefore I have tried to keep to the same format as phase 2. The homework is based on the planning taken from Phonics Play.

I have just completed this power point for our cultural week, which is about Pakistan. I have done a basic presentation about Pakistan, using images and information. This can be edited to any key stage teaching.

I can’t take credit for the concept of this activity. A few weeks ago I downloaded Super Mario number bingo game; this inspired me to create a superhero and princess number bingo game. Print out as many as needed, roll dice and cover the corresponding number. First child to cover all numbers wins the game. Number 1-6

I have made this simple tracking grid, to see at a glance which evidence I need to collect for individual children for their profile (learning journal) book. Collect pieces of evidence and tick it them off on the grid. I use one grid per term to make sure that each child will have at least one piece of evidence in their learning journals.

A few weeks ago I downloaded a high frequency word ‘Shrek’ power point, this inspired me to make some similar ones.Taking into account my childrens views, we came up with Ben 10 for the boys and of course the girls choose Disney princesses. I have only included the HF words we have learnt so far, however you can copy and paste the slides and add words as you go along. From experience its a good point to shows the pictures first before concentrating on the words.

I made this power point for my modified group of children. I have placed the jolly phonics picture on each slide, to reinforce the actions and phonemes. Included now are phase 2 and 3 diagraphs and trigraphs.

We use these observation inserts in the children's learning journals/profile books etc. Pictures are taken and inserts are completed and glued in their learning journals/profile books. You can also add your school logo. Hope these are useful.

<p>I devised this simple assessment format, which relates to the developmental age bands. I have given an example of how to use it. You can also highlight whether the child is a extended (high) , core (middle) or modified (low). You’re welcome to amend it to suite your needs.</p>

I laminated the melon slice and seeds, then attached the seeds on with Velcro. My children loved counting the seeds. I made slices with 3, 6 and 10 seeds. I have made this activity on word so that you can edit it, you can make the seeds bigger or smaller and to extend the activity you can put numbers on the seeds. This melon slice will take 10 seeds.

Made these high frequency words power points to aid learning HF words, using characters which the children enjoyed and could relate to. All images are taken from google.
