<p>This series of lessons is designed to lead pupils into the coursework aspect of their A Level. It introduces them to the requirements, helps them make decisions on their chosen topic and explains key concepts such as discrimination, referencing and independent research.</p>

<p>This 4 lesson Scheme of Work is designed for Key Stage 3 but could be used at any stage for pupils who do not have a basic understanding of the fight for gay rights in the twentieth century. Lesson 1 looks at the example of Alan Turing to see how gay people were treated in the early twentieth century. Lesson 2 looks at Stonewall and the birth of the Pride movement. Lesson 3 looks at the fight for homosexuality to be legalised. Lesson 4 looks at the fight for marriage equality. <p>A short 3 lesson series on women’s rights. Lesson 1 looks at how women were viewed in 1900, lesson 2 looks at their fight for employment and lesson 3 looks at their fight for the vote. Designed for Key Stage 3 but would be appropriate for younger pupils, or adapted for older.</p>

<p>This resource was designed for use at Key Stage 3, although is detailed enough to be incorporated into GCSE Medicine in Britain. The unit includes understanding of the cause of disease, an enquiry task using primary sources, how people treated the Black Death and the consequences of the Black Death. It finishes with an essay task. No additional resources required. Activities include note taking, discussion, enquiry investigation, cretive design task, carousel sources task and essay writing.</p>

<p>All GCSE question stems revision - 5 lessons to allow teachers to talk through structures and practice questions. Marking and Answering guides are included as these will help pupils to practice questions and have a copy of the structures. Higher ability students may be able to use the mark schemes in these guides.</p>
