<p>A quick starter game on food. This will allow students to work in pairs and try to reconstruct the triangle. Through this activity they will revise the vocabulary on food. They will finally be able to find the opinion phrase revealed at the edge of the triangle.<br /> Cut out<br /> Muddle up<br /> Distribute<br /> Ask students to rearrange to form the triangle so that the French sentences match the English ones.<br /> This could be laminated.</p>

<p>This board game is differentiated, with support and stretch task on the second slide. The main aim is to practise vocabulary whilst playing. Student enjoy using the dice and say the sentence in French. The higher ability can say what they see and also describe clothing and appearance. I would recommend using foam dice which you could purchase online at a very low cost. Seeing that in their future French exam, students will be required to describe a photo for their speaking and writing task, it is essential that our KS3 classes start practising and building this skill. This will work nicely with any groups, I have tried it, they love it!</p>

<p>This lesson follows studio 1 module 4 content.<br /> it includes:<br /> a starter on greetings<br /> a differentiated role play task<br /> Partner A reads the French on their card and partner B read the French on their card. They understand each other as the English translation of their lines shows on each of their role play cards. Therefore the teacher doesn’t need to support so much but with the pronunciation. Stretch task: students who finish first can have a go at the role play again, this time changing the underlined words.<br /> Group task : ajoute six mots<br /> student takes it in turn to stretch the sentences about town by six words, using the support vocabulary given. you could add a timer on the task to make it more competitive. (tasks includes sentences with three time frames)<br /> Plenary: scrabble with keywords. Students needs to find keywords, adjectives which will give the highest word score. I hope you enjoy!<br /> Students really enjoyed the role play in my lesson.</p>

Give the snake and ladders game to students so that they can enhance their speaking skills and revise key vocabulary on the topic of holiday. They should try to use different person narrative for each picture. To enable them to do this they will have their support tense sheet and vocabulary sheet with the verb at the infinitive. The support tense sheet shows how to conjugate with the auxiliary avoir and etre. You will need counters and dice to play this game.

<p>This booklet was designed to help students practise writing about likely bullet points on the topic of school in French. This is specially aimed at KS4 classes.<br /> On front page: A list of sentences and structures which students could use for any other topic making their writing more interesting.<br /> Students can work independently in their booklet using the vocabulary given on each page.</p> <p>The writing task set are on the following bullet points :</p> <p>*facilities in your school</p> <ul> <li>making the most of school<br /> *changes you would make if you were the headteacher of the school<br /> *rules &amp; your opinion<br /> *school subjects and opinion about teachers<br /> *projects about your future (life after school)</li> </ul> <p>At the end of the booklet you have a blank template allowing students to write on similar bullet points. This should be done after each piece of writing has been marked by the teacher and should be used as a revision tool. You should also warn students not to learn everything by heart, as bullet points may vary.
