A worksheet involving substituting one number into expression. Ideal as a homework or a main worksheet. An extension would be to give different numbers (such as negative or fractions).
There are four one A4 page so you can print off and not use too much paper.
Worksheet for practising division. Students are required to know a written method for short division.
For each numeric answer there is a letter assigned shown in a key. The student can unravel a hidden message as they answer the questions. This makes simple sums a bit more fun as well as encouraging students to self check their answers.... if the answer isn't in the key they know they have made a mistake.
A powerpoint showing how to solve equations by completing the square.
Includes an activity on ordering the steps.

A PowerPoint of images showing the plans and elevations of famous buildings (one of the slides is the science block in my school but you could swap this). Ideal for KS3 and GCSE classes.
I found the images using google satellite maps and print screened once I had zoomed in.
It was a really nice starter activity to get the students engaged. Hopefully they now know the difference between a plan and an elevation.
This task could be extended by getting students to draw elevations of the given building, even scale drawings
Simple worksheet ideal for a homework or a quick re-cap starter. Students calculate powers of numbers without a calculator. Could be a timed excersise or a quick test. The questions could be cut out and students asked to order them.... or even think of a number to a power that is equivalent.
