• This Spanish language teaching resource explains the work of Dr Maria Lugaro of the Konkoly Observatory, Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences in Hungary. Maria is a nuclear astrophysicist who is part of an international and interdisciplinary team of scientists working on the RADIOSTAR project, investigating radioactive nuclei and the clues they left behind in meteorites.
• This resource also contains an interview with Maria. If you or your students have a question for her, you can submit it online – go to the article using the Futurum link below and scroll to the bottom of the page. Maria will reply!
• The activity sheet provides ‘talking points’ (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy) to prompt students to reflect on Maria’s research, and tasks them make their own spectrometer.
