"Tabú" game GCSE holiday vocabulary

This fun and popular game is to practice speaking skills in Spanish going through the holiday vocabulary.
It is well differentiated and students can choose the level of difficulty.
How it works:

• in pairs, one student is looking at the screen (PPT) and the other one is looking away or with their eyes closed.
• The student looking at the PPT has to describe the word/s in Spanish within the time allowed.
  *** Differentiation:** The word with a green star has vocabulary to help to describe it, the word with a yellow star does not have any vocabulary to help and the word with a pink star has vocabulary that cannot be mentioned. Each colour has different points depending on its difficulty.
• The pair who guesses more words and accumulates more points within the time allowed wins.

It’s a great game to practice and revise vocabulary and also helps them to improvise while they speak in Spanish. Students have to describe words on the spot and also helps them to revise what they have learned.
This game can be adapted for other sub topics.
