05. German: Genitive Case for possession +after prepositions

This is a Powerpoint presentation of 8 slides and is no.05 in a series of 60-minute lessons used by me to tutor a GCSE student via Zoom. The focus of each lesson is grammatical, rather than topic specific, and as such they can be slotted into topic work as required. In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of German to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier.

This presentation explains and practises the Genitive Case and includes prepositions which take the Genitive as well sd Genitive for possession. In addition to grammatical explanations the lesson has translation exercises and practice of more challenging sentences, which include Accusative, Dative and Genitive together, such as ‘I give my sister my mother’s glasses’!
