10 Sheets with a variety of rhythms for students to clap. Students are asked to write the counting underneath each rhythm (examples given) and then tick off each rhythm they can successfully clap.
All rhythms are 2 measures (bars) long in 6/8.
Sheet 1 -4: 10 rhythms on each sheet using eighth notes, quarter notes and dotted quarter notes (quavers, crotchets and dotted crotchets).
Sheet 5 & 6: 10 rhythms on each sheet introducing eight note rests and quarter note rests (quaver rests and crotchet rests).
Sheet 7 & 8: 10 rhythms introducing dotted quarter note rests (dotted crotchet rests).
Sheet 9 & 10: are write your own rhythm sheets for the individual student and for the class.
Great to use if you have different abilities within your class. Great to support student understanding when introducing new note values.
