This lesson introduces students to global politics.
There are activities that allow students to explore key-terms, the differences between national and global politics and different actors that seek to influence and exert control over global politics.
There is also an exam guide on how to approach questions for Paper 3 and a student-friendly version of Assessment Objectives.
This is part of a wider series of lessons on Global Politics being released by The Knowledge House to coincide with the new curriculum from Edexcel.

This bundle incorporates the first four chapters of the Edexcel specification: 1. Theories of global politics 2. Globalisation 3. Political global governance 4. Economic global governance Each chapter is made up of 3-4 individual lessons, breaking each chapter down into sections that improves understanding and makes learning more manageable. There is a keyword sheet for each chapter, along with an exam guide that breaks down how students should answer each question. Th entire bundle comproses over 100 worksheets with 14 accompanying PPTs that guides students and teacher through the order of worksheets. Component 3: Global Politics - Chapter 1 - Theories of global politics
Comprehensive and complete series of lessons that introduces students to Chapter 1 of the new Edexcel specification - Theories of global politics. The lessons are planned in the following order, and should be taught in this order: 1. Introduction to global politics 2. Realism in global politics 3. Liberalism in global politics 4. End of History/Clash of Civilizations debate These lessons are planned to meet the exacting standards of the new specification and include over 30 worksheets and PPTs. Each lesson comprises a series of student-friendly interactive worksheets that are differentiated to ensure they are accessible to all students yet include extension activities for high achievers. For example, the fourth lesson in this bundle comes with academic literature from Francis Fukuyama and Samuel Huntington that may only be suitable for those aiming for an A*. Great resources. But they really could do with answer sheets including. Having to answer the questions/do the worksheets myself was not a timesaver.
