Best used for Year 11 revision in the run up to listening exam.

  1. Each set work has 3 clues which you need to cut up and then hid in (ideally) 8 different rooms. Depending on class size, students can pair up or work individually and I found it works well to give them 2 rooms each.
  2. Once located, they should decide (on their own) what their 2 set works are.
  3. Then pair up with another to see if they agree on the 4.
  4. Lastly they could all together and share, making a final decision before writing them on the board for teacher confirmation.

An extra challenge is that some of the clues have blanks to fill in, which they also had to agree on before handing back in completed. Notes should only be used as a final resort if they can’t remember something. Whole thing can fill an hour lesson nicely (with a bit of discussion at the end). Quite good for working out which students really don’t know certain areas as well!
