Objectives: Drum Tracks
To understand the characteristics of different EDM drum tracks
To understand how to input drum beats on garage band to create a drum loop
To use pre-made loops in garage band to compose the rest of their EDM dance music
Starter:
Explore the drum tracks of EDM through a range of styles: Hip-Hop, House, Grime, Dubstep, Trance, Trap, Trance and Drum n Bass, listening to a range of examples for common and different musical features.
Task:
• Choose their style.
• Input a 4 bar drum loop on garage band.
• Input pre made garage band loops to finish the rest of their EDM piece.
Plenary: Upload garage band file to google classroom and listen to selected pupils pieces.
