Empezar a infinitive practice present tense

This is a worksheet to practice using empezar + a + infinitive in the present tense

Part 1: Complete the conjugation of empezar for all persons by writing the correct stem change (e-ie) for yo, tú, él, ella, Ud and ellos, ellas, Uds conjugations in the first blank and the correct verb endings in the second blank.

Part 2: Re-write each sentence correctly in the template provided. After the infinitive, add 2-3 words to expand on the sentence in an original manner.

Example

1. Yo / empezar / a / hacer

2. Tú / empezar / a / correr

Pages 3-4 have the same parts 1 and 2 from above but using the verb comenzar and in part 2, the subjects are the same but the infinitives are different.

A partial answer key is included since student answers will vary for part 2.
