This fun worksheet from Franklin Watts offers factual information about the Second World War as well as imaginative reconstruction of events during the Blitz. It comes from an original story called 'Ben's Escape from the Blitz' by Margaret Nash and Mike Spoor in the Hopscotch Histories series. There is a creative letter writing exercise, encouraging children to think about life as an evacuee, and comparing past and present, country and city life, while fully supporting the Pupil Writing Targets.

I think this resource needs to be used with care. It is reliant on the use of a specific book from the Hopscotch History series. The excerpts used in the worksheet are very superficial, and need the support of a lot of extra material and information in order to be used successfully.
