Useful for both HODs but also those teaching the subject on their own or for the first time. Contains everything you need to teach both the new and legacy GCSE specifications. Plans of delivery clearly outline lesson content, interspersed with assessment points & research tasks to monitor and track progress. Assessment packages contain not only questions but also mark schemes tailored to the skills required across the examination and teacher and pupil reflection sheets.

The comprehensive set of resources contain:

Two versions of the scheme of work have been produced 1) for delivery over two years 2) for delivery of three years. Each scheme of work contains specified sections for focusing on each area: introducing sociology, sociological research methods, families, education, crime and deviance and social stratification. Within the scheme of work you will find:
*Subject content and assessment details as outlined by AQA
*Guided number of lessons
*Learning objectives and points of guidance
*Guided assessment points and examination questions (eight in total)
*Homework prompts
*Clear prompts for assessments, homework and research opportunities
Each primary research method is directly incorporated into the families and education sections with a dedicated lesson on the method which is followed up a hypothesis for pupils to investigate using the specified method.

Generic mark schemes that are 'user friendly' for both teachers and pupils with the purpose of improving the efficiency of the marking process. This is achieved by:
*Providing generic mark schemes for each question across the topic
*Breaking down assessment objective skills into clear sections
*Providing clear level descriptors
*Clear prompts to recognise type of marking e.g. teacher / peer and pride and effort taken by the pupil

The feedback and reflection (DIRT) sheet contains opportunities for pupils to:
*Address spelling mistakes
*Identify strengths and successes
*Identify errors / steps for continued support
*Specific targets for improvement and reflection
*Reflect on identified targets
Teachers are provided with the opportunity to recognise the quality of reflection through identifying the appropriate descriptor and can provide further guidance by identifying points from a pre-populated menu.

Assessment and homework progress can also be easily recorded and monitored on a pupil
tracking document (A4 sized) that can fit neatly inside work books or assessment folders.
