A complete scheme of work to teach Seamus Heaney’s collection ‘North’.
Each lesson is designed for a double period, so this is a 28 lesson SoW. There is also one essay prep lesson.
The first lesson covers context of the history of Ireland, The Troubles, and Heaney’s life.
Each lesson contains attractive slides, clear instructions, and exentsion tasks on every slide. I taught this to compare with Jean Rhys’ Wide Sargasso Sea, but any slides linked to this can be easily removed - it does not impact the teaching of the poems.
