Session1:
Learning intentions:

To review vocabulary for past holiday events
To review adverbs of time to use with the preterite tense
To know how verbs ending in ‘-car’, ‘-gar’ and ‘-zar’ are conjugated in the preterite tense (‘I’ and ‘we’ forms)
To learn some irregular preterite verbs (‘I’ form)
To deepen vocabulary knowledge through listening and reading
To practise translating into English and Spanish on the topic of past holiday events
To gain confidence in conjugating regular ‘-ir’ verbs in different tenses (conjugation challenge with support link to WordReference)
To gain confidence in SSC (phonics) for ‘ge’, ‘gi’ and ‘j’
