This lesson introduces students to Book XXII (The Battle in the Hall) of Homer’s Odyssey. Students first reflect on what we already know about the events of Book XXII (fate, omens) from previous Books studied. Students then summarise the key events and look at what happens to each Suitor. Finally students examine the actions of Odysseus, Athene and Telemachus and question whether or not they are justified.
