There are shells and 30 pictures / cards. The number on the shell pictures corresponds to the number of syllables in the animal’s name on the card(s) the students receive. Students have to sound out the syllables and place the card next to the correct number.
This resource is great for helping students understand that recognising sounds is essential before they begin writing words.
Can be used as a cut and paste game, individual or group activity.
