Ks3 Music Film Soundtrack and Famous Composers SoW and resources including PowerPoint, card sort task and six scores on pdf (E.T, Titanic and Kung Fu Panda themes and differentiated versions for lower ability/younger students).
This SoW is intended to be delivered by a music specialist over seven one hour practical music lessons but can ofcourse be adapted.
The PowerPoint covers all seven lessons and includes full instructions and hyperlinks to necessary youtube videos. Scores and card sort activity can be printed and laminated to keep as reusable resources.
My students really enjoyed learning about famous film composers and developing their keyboard skills. I would recommend this SoW for end of year 8/year 9 when students already have some knowledge of notation.
