Organisations, movements & members - Explaining the growth of religious movements is the 6th topic which is part of the unit on Beliefs in Society. There are 3 parts to this topic:

6.a) Types of religious organisation
6.b) Explaining the growth of religious movements
6.c) Religiosity and social groups

This is an interactive lesson, with opportunities for paired/group activities. To help students further engage with the topic, there are contemporary videos and reading materials included. There is a guided exam practice at end to help students apply their knowledge.

Lesson objectives:
• Outline the gender, ethnic and generational differences in participation and beliefs.
• Assess the reasons for gender, ethnic and generational differences.

This lesson is delivered part of the wider scheme of work for Beliefs in Society, would follow on from L6.b) Explaining the growth of religious movements, which is available as individual lessons or as a discounted bundle in the shop!
