Martian March is a performance piece for tuned percussion. It uses the instruments logically so that the piece is straightforward to learn with the end result being satisfying. The main tune is best played on xylophones - there is a extra optional part part for glockenspiels.

The resource comes with an MP3 recording of the whole piece - melody and backing. There are two backing MP3s - one with and one without the optional glockenspiel part. There is a fourth MP3 with the backing on the left channel and the xylophone melody on the right channel. This could be useful if your equipment has a balance control.

There are PDFs of both the xylophone and glockenspiel part.

There is a free demo MP3 so that you can hear what the piece sounds like before purchasing. It is available on this site as a separate resource.

This is an extremely well-produced resource with clear notation, and melodic patterns which pupils will pick up easily. Obviously written by someone who has had plenty of experience using classroom pitched percussion.
