Your information on the sport ‘Stoolball’ is incorrect. Please feel free to update it and visit - www.stoolball.org.uk for the correct information. Stoolball is the predecessor to cricket and it’s called stoolball because the milk maids would use a stool to hit the ball.

Thankyou. I consulted “Sports and Games of Medieval Cultures” by S. Wilkins and am confident in the description which describes an anecdotal variation of the sport where “Young women sat on a milk stool...”. Please feel free to read the book for different historical versions of the game.

Detailed marketplace resource but maybe a little text dense for lower ability. Could be combined with further images to create a really detailed and interactive marketplace. Comprehensive PP.
