My Life As a Book - Literature Unit - Reading Groups - Book Study

My Life as a Book is by Janet Tashjian with cartoons by Jake Tashjian. This book is at a 5.3 reading level, based off the Accelerated Reader scale.

This product took three weeks to complete. Included in this document are 42 pages.

Pages 1 & 2 are the title page and the Table of Contents.

Each section includes: 2 pages of comprehension questions, 2 pages of vocabulary work (presented in several different ways), and 1 page that is cross or co-curricular. Total content pages: 28.

Teacher's key: 8 pages.

Of ALL the books we have read this year, this has been my students' favorite! Looking at the cover, you may think there isn't much content in this book. However, there is LOTS of content... it is up to you, the teacher, to pull the content and life lessons to be learned that are hidden throughout the book. Derek is a boy that is relatable to any student in the 4th, 5th, or even 6th grade.
