These resources provide teachers with a PowerPoint and corresponding learning booklet, which allows pupils to follow through the lesson step by step with ease. The booklets contain elements from the OCR GCSE specification so pupils are navigated to exactly what they need to know. Additionally, each lesson and subsequently each booklet contains learning intentions and success criteria as well as a 'do it now' task to quickly engage pupils at the beginning of each lesson. Furthermore, each learning booklet offers opportunities for differentiation through gold, silver and bronze tasks and includes exam practice questions and homework.

This lesson is for Unit 2.1 (Components of Fitness)

Learning Intention (1): Recall and explain the components of fitness.

Success Criteria (1):

• Recall the definitions of each of the components of fitness.
• Explain brief details about each component.

Learning Intention (2): Describe the components of fitness and explain how they link to sporting examples.

Success Criteria (2):

• Recall the names of the components of fitness.
• Explain each of the components of fitness.
• Identify where the components are used during exercise.
• Compare and contrast components of fitness.
• Analyse the importance of each component in terms of an athletes performance.

Please note these resources will cover approximately four lessons.
