A lesson to develop students’ understanding on the topic of holidays in Spanish/English whilst planning their own one. Students will have to use the websites ‘Skyscanner’ and ‘Booking’ to plan it. Once finished, they could then present their findings to the class to develop speaking skills. With this resource, students will reflect on important aspects during holiday booking such as the arrangements for flights, accommodation or activities. An explanation on what the websites ‘Skyscanner’ and ‘Booking’ are used for as well as a learning mat with specific terms related to the theme of holidays and based around the layout of the websites are included. The learning mat also offers sentence starters for those who might need that extra support when presenting their dream holiday. Lesson available in Spanish and in English.

Una clase para que los/as estudiantes consoliden/amplíen sus conocimientos sobre el tema de las vacaciones en español/inglés mientras planean las suyas. Los estudiantes tendrán que usar las páginas web “Skyscanner” y “Booking” para hacerlo. Una vez terminado, pueden preparar una presentación sobre la planificación sus vacaciones al resto de la clase, lo que permite desarrollar la expresión oral. Con este recurso, los/as estudiantes reflexionarán sobre aspectos importantes a tener en cuenta cuando se planea cualquier escapada: vuelos, alojamiento o cosas que hacer. El material también incluye explicaciones sobre las páginas web “Skyscanner” y “Booking”, así como un banco de vocabulario con palabras útiles para manejarse por las páginas web y expresiones útiles para la presentación oral.
