In this interview for P4 and P5, Lisa-Marie Shillito explains what it’s like to work as a geoarchaeologist. In her job she uses science to work out how people lived thousands of years ago by examining their rubbish, including poo! Coprolites (fossilised poos) are one of the only types of archaeological material that show what people ate over several days, how healthy they were and how their diet varied seasonally. Lisa-Marie explains her discoveries from the Stone Age.
