Present subjunctive v infinitive sentence practice

Part 1: Write the correct letter of the English translation of the introductory verb

Ex: Querer (answer choice g: to want)

Part 2: Complete each sentence using the following guidelines.

  1. Write the infinitive (-ar, -er, -ir) provided in the first sentence

  2. In the second sentence, conjugate the infinitive in the present subjunctive and add 3-4 words to expand on the sentence. Your sentence must make sense.

Example: Cantar

Yo quiero cantar

Yo quiero que tú cantes en el coro de la escuela.

Students will complete a total of 10 sentences. For the present subjunctive, only regular -ar, -er, and -ir verbs are used and hacer is used in the last sentence.

Answer key is included for part 1. For part 2, answer key includes the infinitive and the present subjunctive conjugations only. For the sentences, student answers will vary.

Pages 1-3 are the practice and pages 4-5 are the answer key.
