Preterit tense refresher practice (Spanish)

This packet has notes on the uses of the preterit with guided practice on conjugating all verb types (regular, irregular, spelling change, stem change) and clue words matching (ayer, anoche etc).

*For irregular preterit verbs, notes on their English translation and irregular stems and verb endings are included.

*For Dar, Ir, Ser, and Ver, a table with all 6 conjugations is included.

Students will conjugate the following infinitives for all 6 persons unless otherwise noted.

Regular: Hablar, Volver, Escribir

Spelling change: Buscar, Jugar, Empezar (all in the Yo conjugation only)

I-Y: Leer and Construir

IR stem change: Pedir, Dormir

Irregular: Hacer, Saber, Decir

Clue words matching: Write the letter of the correct translation. (20 total)
