A powerpoint defining the types of sound found in film and television. Not an activity based resource, but would work well in a series of lessons looking at media language.

Terrible spelling again. It is very common amongst teachers on this site. It's nice of you to share resources but basic spelling like to affect and diegetic not diagetic. Big sigh. Some errors with info here too.
diegetic is natural sound, sound that occurs that could be realistic or believable. It is not sound recorded on location as you say. 95% of diegetic sound is added in during post production, doors creaking, gun shots such as you mention are natural sound and still diegetic even if they are added to the sound track.
Spelling correction. Thanks for the comment.

Diagetic can be spelt in two ways - both are correct.

Diagetic/diegetic are both acceptable.

I think the dia spelling has greek roots.
spelling correction. Thank you for the resource. The spelling of diegetic needs correction.
