Spanish Cognates & Reading skills

Lesson about cognates in Spanish which I used with year 7 who had just started Spanish to boost their confidence. Works at identifying words they've never seen before and builds up to them understanding the general jist of longer texts. The film descriptions are from a genuine spanish cinema site -I displayed them around the room and they moved around the room reading them and looking for clues to help them work out which film each description is about.
