This lesson includes everything you need to teach a lesson on ¿de dónde eres?, ¿de dónde es usted?, ¿de dónde es él? and ¿de dónde es ella?. There is a drill, powerpoint that teaches the four questions and answers, vocabulary sheet for students to refer to, classwork that includes listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities, listening script, homework, exit ticket, and a lesson plan guiding the teacher through everything. Answer keys are provided.

Please note that this lesson is only for the singular forms of SER - nosotros and ellos/ellas are not included.

The Vocabulary sheet and the Homework are non-editable PDFs to preserve the clipart. All the other documents (except the powerpoint) are Word docs, so they are editable for any curriculum. The possible places students can be from on the classwork can be changed to fit an appropriate geography. The powerpoint is saved as both .ppt and .pptx.

Activities include:
-listen for where people are from and mark off what you hear on your paper
-group speaking activity: ask classmates where they are from
-write where classmates are from
-read a short paragraph and answer questions in English about it
-whole class speaking activity: walk around the room and ask other students where they and others are from with answers prompted
-writing activity: write sentences out stating where people are from

Students should already know "cómo te llamas", "¿cómo estás?", various greetings and goodbyes, and be familiar with the difference between tú and usted,

This lesson is ideal for a Spanish 1 class in middle or high school.
