If you are looking for a Christmas (Feliz Navidad) MFL Spanish puzzle based team-building activity to keep your students engaged during the last few days (or week) leading up to Christmas, then this FUN MFL ESCAPE ROOM is for you! There are seven Christmas inspired - 70% subject themed Spanish (trivia) and 30% Pure Christmas Fun (In English). Students will complete a variety of tasks using different skills including: problem-solving, critical thinking, reading comprehension, literacy challenges and some clever deduction to work out who has stolen the presents this Christmas.

The Escape room lasts just under an hour depending on how quick students can solve each puzzle! If a team finishes early don’t worry we have built in another hidden challenge for them.
Students will start with Jack Frost and solve puzzles along the way through 7 different rooms (Jack Frost, Winterbolt, Snow Miser, Heat Miser , BurgerMeister, The Grinch & a final secret Location) As they solve each Christmas themed puzzle they will collect 1 Piece of the Snowman Puzzle and have to solve the Christmas Cypher.

Although the actual puzzles are good, I think it is disingenuous to market this as a Spanish lesson. Having paid for and downloaded it, I was expecting to read some instructions and do some printing for a ready made lesson. I had to spend an hour editing the ppt to translate it into Spanish. I assume the creator has made this to adapt to different subjects with subject-specific puzzle packs, but I think it's really sloppy not to have the actual escape room ppt contain even the most basic Spanish. This cost me a lot of time.
there are a few errors throughout or the lay out leads to misunderstanding. Since the PowerPoints cannot be edited, I had to correct the errors by hand before printing - not ideal. It went well with both my very good Y9 and Y11 but would be far too challenging for my bottom set and they would need a lot of support. Some activities are in English - if I am buying a Spanish activity, I would expect ALL tasks to be in Spanish.
Really fun end of term activity - kids loved it. They were really independent and showed great team work.
