BNP Paribas have partnered with Gemserv to develop this fantastic lesson pack – Sustainable Business Financing for a Net Zero Future. For GCSE Business Studies students, this material covers the primary sources of finance available to businesses and explores the decisions available to them. A bespoke animated video is included to help cover the introductory material within the topic, including case studies of business decisions aiming to finance sustainable trends within their organisation.
A range of tasks are included. A presentation is provided for general usage in a class-based environment, whilst exam-style questions, and a comprehension exercise provide the basis for teaching. The lesson concludes with a group-exercise, that asks students to roleplay as businesses faced with a financial choice – the primary goal of which is to explore the concept of risk and return.
The lesson will last for approximately an hour-and-a-half if taught with all components, however, it has been designed in such a way as to be suitable as a shorter or longer session. We have also provided a tailored lesson plan to help guide teachers through the material. The material covers key themes taught across multiple exam board specifications. Specifically targeting:
• Edexcel: 2.1.1, 2.1.3 and 2.1.4
• AQA: Sections 1,2 and 6
• OCR: Topic 5 (Finance), Topic 6 (Influences on Business), Section 5 (Financial Information and Decisions) and Section 6 (External Influences on Business Activity)

What a fantastic, high-quality resource! Always appreciative of TES, but occasionally the resources are hit and miss... not so with this!
