Talk for Writing- The Night Pirates

A four week Talk for Writing unit based on the popular tale: The Night Pirates. Children will learn the model text and work towards writing their own version of the story where their character goes on an adventure with some rough, tough girl pirates! Lots of short burst tasks based around adjectives, adverbs and conjunctions etc…
Comes with 4 weeks of Power Points, a model text and a copy of the box up grid I have used throughout the unit- all are easily editable to suit the needs of your class and many of the slides are useful for screen shotting and printing for use in books.
For the innovation stage there are small chunks of the model text as bookmarks and highlighted with areas for the children to consider changing.
Many slides also include either an oral starter or a SATs style starter question.
