The idea is that it eliminates confusion between imperfect, preterite and perfect, future and conditional etc. We have found it to be useful with our GCSE students specifically but it has also acted as a useful reminder for A-level students as well.

Having studied many years' worth of listening and reading exams in French and Spanish, it was apparent that common language kept appearing. These booklets contain the non-negotiable vocabulary all students really need. I have added in some interactive lessons as well that can be used to recap the basics.
